Tumbleweed is a nomadic plant that wanders with the wind, abandoning its roots and relentlessly seeking the most suitable environment for itself. This tenacious spirit of survival and its wandering path allowed YenTing Lo to see a microcosm of life: seemingly unable to leave no trace, yet always quietly extending one’s presence in the world in some form.

The fourth album of the jazz singer-songwriter YenTing Lo, “Tumbleweed from nowhere”, is a meditation of life and existence, and the discrepancy between image and reality. The record oscillates between high-intensity emotion and quiet simplicity, repeatedly circling back to a passionate outlook on being. With YenTing’s unique narrative style, this album encompasses various musical styles including Jazz, Folk, Neo-Soul, and R&B, pursuing a colorful and modern sound while also exploring the literary aspects of its lyrics and music.
